Weight Loss Treatment Information

NP2GO requires a follow up visit every 3 months to renew your prescriptions.

Under normal circumstances, NP2GO will send over 3 months worth of prescriptions to the pharmacy.

Sometimes they are an increased dose, but sometimes they are the same dose with refills (or sometimes a 90 day supply, depending on insurance requirements).

We will complete prior authorizations needed by your insurance to help you qualify for medications. If the prior authorization fails, and insurance does not cover the medication, we offer compounded medications to be shipped to your home.

Pillars to Weight Loss

  • Medications
  • Behavioral Changes
  • Physical Activity
  • Nutritional Therapy

Behavioral Therapy relates to staying accountable and following up with us every three months. You can find other ways to stay accountable like journaling or engaging your family in your health journey.

The Obesity Medicine Association recommends 5,000 to 10,000 steps per day or resistance training twice a week. Many patients do well with utilizing intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting has the most research behind it, and it can fit into any lifestyle fairly easily. You can start with a 12-hour fasting window and a 12-hour eating window and then close that to a 16 hour fasting window and 8 hour eating window.

We will send you some information about intermittent fasting and the Mediterranean Diet. The Mediterranean Diet isn’t a diet with specific recipes. Rather, it supports healthy fats, lean meats/fish, and lots of vegetables.

The side effects are directly related to what you eat — usually. So, eating too fast (because you are slowing down the gastrointestinal tract), overeating, eating high-sugar, eating high-fat, and eating processed or high-carb foods will increase the risk of side effects.

Overeating, eating too fast, high-fat, high processed, and high-sugar foods can make you nauseated.

It does not matter what time of day that you take your shot.
