Weight Loss Support FAQs
Why should I choose your weight loss experts?
Our board-certified practitioners are proud members of the Obesity Medicine Association. As a team, we are committed to following the latest evidence-based research in obesity medicine, so we can help each patient feel their best.
How do weight loss visits work?
A weight loss professional will meet with you online or at our office in Edmond, OK. During this, we will discuss your habits, biological factors, health goals, and more. We may suggest weight loss medications, like compounded Semaglutide or Tirzepatide. Please note that compounded Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are not FDA-approved.
To ensure you get the ongoing support you need, we require follow-up visits every month.
Are there specific BMI requirements for treatment?
While insurance coverage for GLP1 medications typically requires a BMI over 27 with comorbidity or a BMI over 30, we focus on treating individuals – not just a BMI number.
How long do most weight loss visits last?
These visits usually last between 10 to 20 minutes.
Why are monthly visits necessary?
We mandate a follow-up every month to ensure your progress is effectively monitored and documented. For this, we can meet virtually or you can update your intake form.
Will my weight loss medications be delivered to me? Is there an extra cost?
We can ship compounded Semaglutide or Tirzepatide directly to your home. We include shipping costs with the medication price, so there is no extra price.
Medications are usually shipped via UPS within 7-10 days. Please note that shipping times may vary.
How can I update or cancel my order?
If you need to change or cancel your order, simply call or text our office at 405-696-7003 as soon as possible. We’re here to assist you with any necessary adjustments.
What steps do I take to change my address on an existing order?
To update your address, contact our office directly. This ensures your medication will be shipped to the correct location without delay.
Can I return my medication if needed?
Due to safety regulations, we cannot accept returns of medications once they’ve been dispensed. If you have any issues with your medication, please reach out to discuss your options.
Which compounding pharmacies do you collaborate with?
We partner with a range of fully licensed compounding pharmacies, selected based on your state. These pharmacies are PCAB accredited and adhere to strict standards, including ISO 5 certification, USP 795, USP 797, USP 800 and cGMP processes for sterile and non-sterile compounding. We are partnered with Legitscript certified pharmacies Southend and Redrock.
Do weight loss medications need to be refrigerated?
Most medications do not need to be refrigerated after opening. It is always best to follow the directions on the manufacturer’s packaging.
Does it matter what time of day I take my injections?
It does not matter. You can take your weight loss medications whenever works best for you.
What do I do if I have nausea?
Many people experience nausea during their weight loss journey. If this happens, we can prescribe anti-nausea (anti-emetic) medications, like Zofran or Phenergan. This can often be filled at your local pharmacy. In some cases, we can teach you how to do a half dose of your weight loss medications.
Consuming enough fiber, protein, and water can decrease the risk of this side effect. Using a 24-hour food journal can help you pinpoint foods that may exacerbate your nausea.
What foods can increase nausea?
You may become nauseous from eating foods that are highly processed, high-fat, or high-sugar. Overeating or eating too quickly can also make you nauseated.
IV Hydration FAQs
What if I’m a “hard stick”?
Our nurses each have extensive experience with providing IV infusions, and we prioritize making the overall experience as comfortable as possible. We take our time finding a good vein and try to minimize the number of sticks and bruising. Please note that bruising is sometimes inevitable.
If you have been told you are a hard stick, please let us know when booking your appointment. We advise that you hydrate with plenty of water the day before and of your appointment. We also recommend that you take a hot shower or bath before we arrive or place a heating pack on your arms before your infusion.
Do you offer discounts for IV hydration services?
We offer multiple-person IV discounts and group party discounts. We also offer IV therapy memberships and packages. For parties of 10 or more people, please contact us for corporate pricing.
How do I schedule an IV party? How many people can attend?
You can easily schedule online for a group of up to 5 people. For larger groups, you can call or text our office for corporate pricing. We have done corporate IV parties of 20 people in less than 2 hours!
